Since 2011 Lowave has developed Human Frames, a moving images project on the human being and his temperaments, physical condition and the uniqueness of its body with its multiple expressions. Human Frames unfolds between Europe and Asia and takes one on a cinematic journey through the human senses that accompanies man throughout life. The viewers of Nuit Blanche are invited to be lost in these emotions for one night. This projection is a collaboration with La Perle, an eminent cult cafe in Paris, that brings Human Frames back to the city where it was invented.

For the first time in Paris, Human Frames will be presented at the Société de Curiosités on two evenings of the 27 and 28 September. The programme features an extraordinary lineup of artists and live performances including hybrids of film, dance, music and interventions.

Potemkine welcomes Lowave for a presentation of our DVD catalogue of artist films notably the recent collections Human Frames and IN/FLUX. Masayo Kajimura, an associate artist and curator, will also be in attendance to give an exclusive preview of her newest video work.

20/09/13 - 20:30 Human Frames Live 03: Barbara Morgenstern v Melancholy & Impermanence [Amsterdam]
We are pleased to announce the third installment of the collaboration between Lowave and |Cine|Sonic| which combines two thematic parts of our project Human Frames with the music of Barbara Morgenstern.
This live screening will include videos from the Human Frames programmes Melancholy and Impermanence. Melancholy presents contemporary works from Asia and Europe dealing with diverse cultural and artistic interpretations of the idea of melancholy, while Impermanence concentrates on the ephemerality of human existence. The selection of videos will be presented with a new soundtrack composed and performed live by Barbara Morgenstern.
