INDEPENDENT DVD LABEL
Lowave is an independent film label founded with the objective of promoting experimental film and contemporary video art. The support of new talent is a major objective of the label. With our DVD releases, cutting-edge film and video can finally find an audience beyond the film festival circuit. During the last 5 years Lowave has released over 30 titles. Our catalogue is divided into three different sections: DVD compilations, monographic DVDs and documentaries.
Lowave is constantly being asked to contribute to exhibitions and programs for museums, art galleries, and cultural institutions including the Pompidou Centre, the Cinematheque Francaise, The Oslo Cinematheque, the French Cultural Centre in Belgrade, and the Tokyo Film Festival. We offer a distribution service of our fims on several different screening formats and organize screening programs for festivals such as Different Cinema in Paris or the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen.
In 2007 we launched our new Paris based film production studio, Lowave Productions, focused on the same type of films our DVD catalogue is famous for including experimental shorts, animation, and documentaries.
