Éléonore de Montesquiou is a Franco-Estonian artist. Her work revolves around the articulation between private and official histories, personal and national identities. Based on her personal experience of uprootedness, she tackles the intricacies and ambiguities of living in the margins.

On January 19th 2010, one year has passed since Stanislav Markelov, a lawyer and antifascist activist, and journalist Anastassia Babourova were shot in the centre of Moscow. A march was organized to commemorate the murder of these two defendants of human rights. It was the first march severely constrained by the police in Moscow.
